Stasilon® wound dressings facilitate a reduction in blood loss after injury by improving rates of clot formation proximate to contact.

In-Vitro Evaluation
The nozzle of a syringe is placed into light contact with the test fabric. The syringe is filled with 4 ml of citrated blood and the time to depletion of the blood supply, or cessation of flow, is measured.

Scanning electron micrographs (SEMs) show that there is a much greater interaction of blood cells with Stasilon® than with gauze.
