What is the Stasilon® dressing made of?
The Stasilon® dressing is manufactured from two component yarns: continuous filament medical grade e-glass and bamboo yarn. The only additional material is paraffin wax in Statsilon® FR used as a sealant in the manufacturing process, or radio dense thread and PTFE thread for Stasilon® OR.

Is the dressing infused with any chemical ingredients to induce clotting?
No, the dressing contains no chemicals, biologicals or other active hemostatic ingredients. The direct contact of the dressing's unique fibers with the open wound trigger the vascular system's natural clotting mechanisms to stop bleeding.

Is Stasilon® cleared by the FDA?
Yes. Entegrion received 510(k) clearance to market Stasilon® FR over the counter and prescriptive in December of 2007. The 510(k) number is K072890. The FDA decision can be viewed at the web address below: http://www.fda.gov/cdrh/pdf7/K072890.pdf

Are there allergic reactions to Stasilon®?
No allergens are present in the dressing and no reactions have been reported in any clinical testing.  Stasilon® is latex free.
